Born: March 3, 2007 8:45 PM

Fresh Meadows’ first foal of 2007 was born on March 3rd, during the Lunar Eclipse, at 8:45 PM. Ming Ming was the mare’s second foal (with the first foal there were no problems). The mare had no milk and 4 days after birth, Ming Ming developed kidney issues due to abnormalities in the placenta. She was referred to New Bolton Center in Pennsylvania.

After two weeks at New Bolton Center where she was treated for her kidney problem, little Ming Ming returns to Fresh Meadows.

Since Ming Ming’s mother had no milk, a feeding schedule had to be implemented. The first week she had to be fed every 2 hours with a milk replacer. The second week it was every 3 hours. Ready to eat, she took to the bottle well. From the bottle she graduated to drinking from a bucket.
