Fresh Meadows'
Miracle Foal

April 27, 2009 - Ming Ming was adopted by staff member Jackie Cunningham. Jackie has been Ming's surrogate mother from the day she was rejected by her dam.

On April 30, 2009, Jackie had Ming Ming reevaluated and x-rayed again at New Bolton Center to find out how the fracture healed since the plates were removed and if there would be any restrictions placed on her activities. The doctors and staff at New Bolton were excited to see her again. They found Ming to be sound. New X-rays showed that the femur had "remodeled quite nicely" and they didn't see any evidence of change in either the hip or stifle joints. Ming's prognosis is good for soundness and no exercise restrictions or modifications are necessary.

May 5, 2009 - Ming is 2 years & 2 months old!

On May 5, 2009 Ming Ming left Fresh Meadows to go to another farm near Westminster, Maryland where she will hang out with an older gelding in a nice large pasture. Ming's future includes being trained as a riding horse.
